How to Build Your Sensory Diet

Sensory avoiding: You're overwhelmed by sensory input. You avoid loud noises, bright lights, certain textures.
Sensory under-responsive: You don't notice sensory input. You seem unaware of your body, your environment.
Sensory over-responsive: You react strongly to sensory input. You're easily overwhelmed, anxious, or shut down.
Most people are a mix of these. You might be sensory seeking for proprioceptive input but sensory avoiding for auditory input.
Track your sensory experiences for a week. Notice what helps you feel regulated and what makes you dysregulated.
